]]> This tutorial is about verifying website in youtube using google’s webmaster tools. There are a number of advantages for doing this, including making your site known to google’s search engine crawlers and being notified of any unexpected activity on your website.
Youtube does require your website is verified before enabling a number of extra functionalities included associating a website with your youtube account.
Once you have an associated website you then have access to external annotations and in a following tutorial we will show what you can do with these.

]]> We have some difficulty with adding a youtube subscribe link, using the username as described in many videos and blogs.

Our youtube account was quiet new and when we attempted to add a subscriber link to one of the videos in the form of a annotation and add a link with our user name, that failed. We tried our channel ID instead and that worked, so this vlog explains the steps we made to get a working youtube subscriber link.
